YAY!!!! I have been dying for Spate ever since you released the video. I have the perfect yarn that came from a tiny alpaca farm near my mother-in-law's house in the california desert.
ReplyDeleteThey're the perfect mitts for special yarn, they'll be heavenly in alpaca! I hope you enjoy the pattern :)
DeleteHi Jane - I knit Inland in Quince & Co Puffin, and it came out beautifully, but when I wet blocked it, it grew huge! Now it's way out of scale for me - my hands can't even reach the pockets :) Any suggestions? Thanks, Andrea
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea! It's really important when wet blocking something this large that you support it's full weight when transferring it wet (for example from the sink to your blocking board). I recommend reblocking your INLAND, taking care to meet all of the measurements listed in the schematic. If you need a step by step I did a guest post on luvinthemommyhood that you might find useful! Find it here: http://www.luvinthemommyhood.com/2013/09/howtoblockyourknitting.html
ReplyDeleteThank you! I'll give it a try -- it's a wonderful pattern by the way, I knit Spate and finished Inland, and now I'm on to Climb :)
