Tops, Tanks, and Tees KAL || Week 1

It's been one week since the official cast on for luvinthemommyhood's Tops, Tanks, and Tees Knit Along and I couldn't be happier with my progress! My needles have been on fire and I've burned through the yoke and a huge chunk of the body on my Gemini Tee.

I've made one minor modification to this top. I wanted to knit 3/4 length sleeves which requires the sleeves to be more fitted. Making this change was simple. I followed the pattern exactly as written, but stopped increasing between my sleeve markers when I reached 60 stitches.

If you would like to make a Gemini with fitted sleeves here are some handy sleeve stitch counts to follow:

56 (60, 66, 74, 80, 88, 94) sleeve sts

. . .

Are you participating in the TTT KAL? How are you making out so far?

    1. Oh boy, I can't wait to see what you're knitting for the KAL! I always race through knit alongs, it's so fun to knit with others and it's great incentive to finish a project on a time line!

    1. Thanks Tanis!!! I am absolutely loving every minute with your yarn, I can't believe it's taken me so long to finally knit with it. I swear TFA just knits it's self, because I can't believe how quickly this project is coming together.

...and thanks for the compliments on the do! I am really enjoying short hair, I don't know why I was so afraid to cut it all off!

  7. Wow, that was fast! It's going to be SO pretty in that color, and I love the Gemini's I've seen with 3/4 sleeves. And, like Tanis, I have also been admiring your bob lately!

    1. I've been loving the 3/4 length sleeve Geminis too! ...people's mods are totally what inspired me to jump on that band wagon.

And thank you too for the compliments on my hair!!! I just lost my hairdresser to the travel bug and nearly considered growing it rather than trying to replace her, lol.
