Georgia KAL

There is a Georgia Knit Along being organized over in our Ravelry Group so if you've had this pattern in your queue for a while, this is your push to cast on. The KAL is slated to run from May to July with relaxed guidelines so the pressure is low for those of you with too many yarny commitments on the needles :)

For participants I am offering a little promotion, from now until the end of July enjoy $1 off when you buy the Georgia pattern. Just enter the code GeorgiaKAL at checkout either on Ravelry or from my pattern collection right here on the site.

So come and join in on the conversation and get those needles ready. A big huge thank you to Gemma for hosting this party!

  1. I'm wondering how this would look with a zipper instead of buttons?

  2. Hmmmm... I have this in my queue. Can I do it? I'm having a hard time keeping up with Shannon's KAL now that I'm back at work! I think I can... I think I can... LOL

    1. Is kidsilk haze a lace weight? This pattern uses fingering.

  5. Oooohh this is really tempting. Although, I'm really craving the Twiggy sweater and it may be a bit more realistic for me right now. And I have to ask -- how are you liking your short hair? As a fellow Mama, fellow knitter, fellow gardener, I am considering chopping my long hair off. Would you do it again?

    1. I'm really enjoying my short hair. I was a little nervous that short hair required more work than long but it's so much less work and I am someone who doesn't blow dry or use product... I was glad I could stay that way :)

I was so happy with my shorter hair that I went in after a few months and got even more taken off!

  6. Wouldn't you believe it, I bought this a couple of days ago without realising that there was a discount coupon! This will the first knitting project for myself other than scarves or gloves (okay, one glove). I've also just bought your classic raglan pullover pattern, I can't wait to start that as well :)

  7. Are the sleeves knit in the round from the cuff up and joined at the yoke?

    1. The sleeves are worked from the armpit down and end at the cuff. The entire garment is knit from the top down.
