On My Needles // Goldmine Socks

In an attempt to be one of those knitters that always has a small project stuffed in her purse, I've cast on a pair of socks. I am by no means a "Sock Knitter" due to lack of experience and frequency in knitting them but I do fully appreciate the practicality of sock knitting. I actually began this here blog, some 2 and a half years ago, with a long winded post about why knitting socks is so worthwhile.

Now I just need a teeny tiny pouch to replace my ziploc project bag :)

  2. I highly recommend Baggu zip bags for knitting projects, as long as your needles aren't too pointy, they're pretty amazing. http://baggubag.com/#Zipper_Bag_S

    1. You are the sweetest Shannon! I hate draw string but I think that something that cinches closed is what I want... maybe something I could whip up, as if you need more on your to-do list!

  4. I just read your first post about why you knit/love socks, and I am behind you 100%! I knit socks for the exact same reason. They are what I do when I really need to relax and don't want to have to think about what I'm knitting. They don't have to flatter, they don't even really have to fit that well, hand knit socks rock no matter what! I've got a pair on the needles that I've had sitting in the bin beside my sofa for weeks now, I'll finish them eventually, but I'm in no rush, and that's nice. :)

  5. I love the colour of your socks! They are going to be super cute popping out from under your jeans...
I was going to say you should make a wee box bag for your socks - I have a very cute tiny tweed one for my sock knitting....but I see Shannon is going to make you one. Good on her - she has my new box bag tutorial so she has no excuse!

  6. I recently picked up the Namaste Oh Snap! 3 piece set. The smallest size (6.5" x 1" x 4") is PERFECT for toting a single sock around. You have to smoosh it a bit, but that kind of helps when trying to tote it In a smallish bag. The snaps are epic too - feed the yarn between them and it totally contains yarn while you are knitting, so I count that as extra awesome while on the go.
